1st Level


To enroll in the 1st Level Freediving course, an individual must:
• Be 18 years of age or older (16 years with parent or guardian consent)
• Be able to swim at least 100m non stop
• Have completed the Medical Form
• Have completed the Liability Release

This course is designed to be an introduction to freediving for the complete beginner. It aims to help the student to develop basic skills, knowledge and safety procedures necessary to enjoy freediving safely within the limits of their experience.

The theory session will include:
• Introduction to basic freediving equipment
• Breathing for freediving
• Equalization
• Safety for freediving
• Freediving and Scuba Diving

After this session the student freediver will be able to:
• Demonstrate how to free dive safely and effectively with a training buddy (maximum 10 m)
• Supervise a buddy from the surface as they perform a free dive to a maximum of 10m
• Demonstrate the appropriate rescue technique of a buddy


Student Equipment – mask, bi-fins, snorkel, appropriate exposure protection, weight belt
